Bloks. The Un-CRM.
Two advisor networks have approved Bloks, the Un-CRM for financial advisors: the Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network and SFL Wealth Management. As of September 2026, Bloks is the only AI platform for advisors approved by both. Each network reviewed Bloks for compliance, technology and security before approving it. Here is what those reviews looked at, and what it means for advisors.
What was announced
Advisors in both networks can now use Bloks, with their network's approval behind it:
Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network, independent advisors in wealth management and financial security across Canada.
SFL Wealth Management, advisors in wealth management and financial security.
Bloks is also an approved AI partner of Financial Horizons.
For an advisor, that approval settles the first question anyone asks about AI in a regulated practice: is this allowed? The answer is now yes, and it comes from the kind of review a network applies to any software that touches client information.
Why the two networks chose Bloks
Four things decided it.
1. Security and compliance, built for a regulated industry
Before anyone looks at features, a network looks at where client data goes and who can touch it. Bloks is SOC 2 Type II certified. Client data is stored in Canada, encrypted at rest and in transit, and handled in line with PIPEDA, Canada's federal privacy law. The practice keeps ownership of its data. Retention rules and audit trails are part of the product, not an add-on. And client data is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
For an advisor, this means the file Bloks keeps is one you can defend: to a client, to a compliance officer, or to a regulator.
2. Client consent, asked for first and always respected
An advisor's relationship rests on trust, and trust starts with the client knowing what is recorded and why. In both networks, Bloks asks each client for consent before the meeting, and it records only when that client has said yes.
If a client has not given consent in advance, the advisor can ask for it verbally at the start of the meeting and then start Bloks manually. If the client declines, nothing is recorded.
The client decides what is kept. The advisor stays in charge of the relationship. That is the order it should be in.
3. French, English, and more than 80 languages
Canada has two official languages, and both networks serve advisors and clients in both. Bloks works in French and English, and in more than 80 languages in total. An advisor can meet a client in French, review the file in English, and ask Bloks a question about that client in the language they think in.
For advisors who serve newcomer families and multilingual households, that matters as much as the official languages do. Wealth transfer rarely happens in one language.
4. Everything an advisor needs, in one place
The networks did not approve a single-purpose tool. Bloks covers the work that surrounds every client relationship:
AI Meeting Notes. No bots joining the call. Compliant, structured notes ready when the meeting ends.
Smart Profiles. Client profiles that build and update themselves from your interactions. No fields, no forms.
CRM sync. Bloks keeps your existing CRM up to date, including Salesforce, Wealthbox, Equisoft, Laylah, Maximizer and Cloven, so nothing breaks on day one.
Follow-ups and tasks. Every commitment made in a meeting becomes a tracked task, across your whole team.
Pre-Meeting Briefs. Walk into every meeting with the context already in front of you.
Ask Bloks. Ask a plain-language question about any client, or your whole book, and get the answer.
Compliant documents. KYP and compliance documentation generated from your conversations.
Put together, it is the list of things an advisor should never have to do by hand again: take meeting notes, update a client file, write a follow-up from scratch, or walk into a meeting cold.
You don't quit your CRM. You just stop needing it.
What it looks like in an advisory practice
Shawn Bellefeuille runs a team of fifteen to twenty at the Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network. He tried the point tools first.
"We started with a notetaker and it did exactly what it promised. The notes were better than anything I would have typed myself. Three months in I realized I had fixed the smallest part of the problem. Everything else about how the team ran was the same."
"Now it's one memory for the whole team. Something I commit to in a meeting lands on the right person's list without anyone retyping it. And somebody new can pick up a relationship I have had for twelve years and actually know it: the family, what we promised, what happened last time."

What this means for advisors in these networks
If you are an advisor in the Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network or at SFL Wealth Management, the approval removes the hardest part of adopting AI: deciding whether you are allowed to. What is left is the easy part, finding out whether it gives you your evenings back.
